If you have reached a point that exercise seems to be getting nowhere and you are dragging yourself to run, you are just probably hit a plateau.  No need to hit the panic button.  You need to recharge.  But not needlessly work double time at the gym.  Give yourself a boost.  There are quite a few things on how to uncover the plateau secrets.  

Bust that much dreaded plateau by firstly taking an active rest.  This means break the monotony of a structured exercise.  Give yourself a break!  Get into another exercise form which do not have to vigorous.  Like strolling, Play ball, or take a yoga class. Rest is very important especially when strength training.  Refresh for you are just most likely burnt out your muscle fibers, your spirit.  When you go back you will find exercise as a new adventure. 

When exercising you are burning more fats than you can think of.  Perhaps there is also a need to look into your diet.  Feed your body!  As metabolism rises and does your calorie requirements.  You may need to eat more than you have in the past.  If you feel some hunger pangs, this is an indication that you need to eat more to compensate for your workout.  This is one way of digging out plateau secrets
